Jura Impressa C5 Home Espresso Machine - NEW

9/12/2007 - Jur Impressa C5
DJC - Perth Hills

Rating :
I had done some research before purchase. The first question to be answered was why a coffee machine, I had experienced real coffee in Italy and France and decided I was tired of instant and drip coffee. Second question was what broad type of coffee machine did I want, manual, semi automatic or automatic, research indicated my life style and usage was better suited to an automatic. Then the final decision again research helped but so did discussion with those in the 'know' and above all reviews. Linda of Adelaide Hills had obviously travelled the same road and ended up with a Jura C5 and appeared to be delighted. I agree with all her remarks It does take a little time to become proficient, the DVD is excellent and I was able to ask a couple of questions from my supplier. 6 weeks down the track I am delighted and can recommend the C5 for home use.
Jura Impressa Z5 Cappuccino Machine - Jura Z5

Rating :
We once bought a 'cheap' Krupps machine and used it for all of two weeks before it became too much of a pain, and was relegated to the back of a cupboard. So, spending big dollars on the Z5 took a bit of courage, and months of vacillation. Finally, I took the plunge - and the outcome is True Love! The out of the box experience was excellent - the 'Welcome Pack' came with everything required, as well as some nice coffee beans to try. I simply watched the setup DVD through, then played it back as I set up the machine, following the step by step instructions. We were up and away within about 20 minutes. First few coffees were a bit ordinary (factory settings were designed for Europeans who drink their coffee so strong the spoon can stand up in it unaided). So, I had to fiddle about and choose my 'perfect' aroma, temp, etc, which is only natural, but was also - surprisingly - very easy. Cleaning is straight forward and the machine tells you when it needs more water or beans. And the coffee .... my goodness, it is superb! Another surprise: the first coffee of the morning takes only about two minutes to dispense once you turn the unit on. After that, magical coffee production, as YOU like it, at the touch of a button. And you can safely leave it on all day and the family can 'graze' as required. A lovely side-effect is the delicious aroma of coffee beans that hangs around the kitchen throughout the day. Okay, I know I'm raving, but I'm so glad I buckled and bought this machine. It is so impressive I'm going to buy another exactly like it for my office. Well done, Jura.
Profi Auto Cappuccino

20/12/2005 - Others frothing at the mouth
John S - Adelaide

Rating :
If your machine came with a standard manual frother, then not all is lost. Upgrade as we did, & you'll have your guests frothing at the mouth & asking for more. It's dead easy to use, even for a first timer. There's no fussing with thermometers, no learning curve or nozzle dipping, it works with a push of the button & only takes seconds to produce professional results. Enjoy. /p Extra help to ease people's minds: /p 1 .. FITMENT couldn't be easier. Simply remove your standard nozzle by twisting it off of the steam delivery tube & slip on the pliant rubber bodied Profi Auto Cappuccino. It's that easy. /p 2 .. IN USE, you can elect to have the gorgeous dense foam, anything from hot through to cool, or heated milk for hot chocolate, all with just the twist of the dial. /p 3 .. ROUTINE MAINTENANCE. Having a routine of after-use cleaning is easy & keeps the unit running smoothly. Just dip the suction tube into a glass of clean water, have a collection jug under the steam spout, & prompt for another quota of steam. If you have a lapse, & later the frother splutters you won't be out of action for long. Simply remove & disassemble the unit, then thrash it around in warm sudsy (ordinary dishwashing detergent) water. Don't be deterred by the disassembly part, you can't go wrong. To make sure all the various intricate passageways are clear, gently blow into one orifice, while having all of the others blocked with your fingertips, then temporarily open (ie open, then close again) each outlet one a t a time. Repeat the cleaning of the unit in the detergent bath again, & rinse afterwards with clean water. Too easy.

I have owned my Jura for 12 months now. It has never missed a beat. I am always confident that the coffee I make will be of the highest quality. The coffee making process is easier and mess-free unlike the [brand name removed] that we have at work. I would heartily recommend this machine.

I love this stuff. Haven't tried it for ages due to location, but it is great sprinkled on capuccinos, as a drinking chocolate, and I think I even used to eat it straight out of the can!

To be honest, no-one liked it, once they discovered that it was de-caf?? Not sure whether this was psychosomatic or not but we promptly switched back to our full strength-'bouncing off the wall' brew and everyone was happy again....

What's not to love? The service is amazing, quick, efficient & friendly but the coffee is even better! We buy Latino & Milanese, the Latino is our all time favorite coffee but we alternate between the two so we get to discover Latino again every couple of weeks. True story :) [Ed: We did not pay him to say this!! Wayne]
